Noise reduction and room acoustics

Our research focuses

Since noise is a seriously increasing hazard, both physically and psychologically, the FSA has been researching noise reduction and room acoustics for many years. Using state-of-the-art simulations, we are able to calculate the propagation of noise in a wide variety of environments and indoor spaces and to model and thus computationally verify the effect of appropriate noise reduction measures. We study sound absorbers and develop our own innovative solutions to improve acoustics, such as an edge absorber arrangement for which we hold a patent. Our solutions for improving room acoustics and reducing noise are used in a wide variety of applications, from daycare centers and restaurants to noise reduction in the industrial sector.
