C. Data processing

We process data within the framework of our website operations. The processing of data also includes disclosure by transmission.The data concerned in detail, processing purposes, legal bases, recipients and transfers to third countries are listed below:


a) Log file for website visit
We log your visit to our website. The following data are processed: name of the website accessed, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system used by you, referrer URL (previously visited website), your IP address and the requesting provider. This is necessary to ensure the security of the website. We process the data accordingly on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR in order to guarantee the security of the website. The log file will be deleted after seven days, unless it is needed to clarify or prove specific legal violations that have become known within the retention period.

b) Hosting
Within the scope of hosting, all data to be processed in connection with the operation of this website will be stored. We process such data on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR in order to enable the operation of the website. To provide our online presence, we use the services of web hosting providers to whom we transmit the above data.
In this respect, PORTSOL 19 GmbH, Lortzingstraße 2, 55127 Mainz, and IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, support us as corresponding processors.

c) Making contact
If you contact us, your data (name, contact details, if provided by you) and your message will be processed exclusively for the purpose of processing and handling your inquiry. These data are processed by us on the basis of Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR or pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR for the processing of your inquiry.

d) Newsletter
In order to provide you with regular information about our company and our offers, we offer to send you a newsletter. When you register for the newsletter, we process the data you enter (e-mail address and other voluntary information). The sending of the newsletter by means of registration is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR. The registration for the newsletter takes place using the so-called double opt-in procedure. To prevent misuse, we will send you an e-mail after your registration asking you to confirm your registration. In order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements, your registration is logged. The storage of the login and confirmation time as well as your IP address are affected. Your registration for the newsletter is stored on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art 6 (1) f) GDPR, so that we can prove your proper registration.

e) Cookies
We use so-called cookies on our website. These are small text files that are stored on your respective terminal device (PC, smartphone, tablet, etc.) and that are saved by your browser.

Purposes
We use technically required cookies to enable the optimal functionality of our website, in particular to navigate the website and offer the basic functions of the website.

Lifetime
The cookies used remain on your terminal device for varying periods of time:
Session cookies: these cookies are deleted from your terminal device immediately after closing your Internet browser.
Permanent cookies: cookies remain on your terminal device even after closing your web browser and enable e.g. recognition the next time you visit our website.

Cookie provider
Cookies that are set directly by us are so-called initial provider cookies. Third-party cookies, on the other hand, are set by third-party websites, for example when displaying content (advertisements, images, tracking pixels, etc.).

Legal basis of data processing
What applies principally is: the legal basis for data processing by means of a cookie is your consent in accordance with Art.6 (1) a) GDPR or our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 (1)f) GDPR to optimize and produce the functionality of our web offer.

Revocation and objection
If a data processing takes place due to your consent, you can revoke your consent for the future at any time. In case of data processing based on our legitimate interests, you can object to further data processing with effect for the future (so-called "opt-out"). Revocation and objection can be made using the opt-out options in our cookie settings.

f) Content / third-party services
We use dynamic content ("Content") from third parties to optimize the presentation and offer of our website. When visiting the website, a request is automatically made to the server of the respective content provider by means of an application programming interface ("API"), during which certain log data (e.g. the user's IP address) are transmitted. The dynamic content is then transmitted to our website and displayed there.
We use external content in connection with the following functionalities:

aa) other third-party services
This website uses Matomo (formerly "Piwik"), a web analytics service provided by InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand (hereinafter referred to as: "InnoCraft"). Matomo uses cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored on your terminal device and enable an analysis of your use of our website. The cookies are stored on your computer for this evaluation. The information collected in this way is stored exclusively on our server. Our website uses Matomo with the extension "AnonymizeIP“. This means that IP addresses are processed in abbreviated form, thus excluding the possibility of direct personal references. The IP address transmitted by your browser via Matomo is not merged with other data collected by us.

We use Matomo for the purpose of analyzing the use of our website and to be able to continuously improve individual functions and offers as well as the user experience. Through the statistical evaluation of user behavior, we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR (consent).

You can prevent the evaluation by deleting existing cookies and deactivating a storage of cookies in the settings of your web browser. Please note that in this case you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed to achieve the purpose for which they have been collected.

D. Duration of data storage

We store personal data only as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed or a consent given by you has been revoked by you. Insofar as legal storage obligations have to be observed, the storage period for certain data can be up to 10 years irrespective of the processing purpose.

E. Your rights as a data subject

a) Information
Upon request, you will receive information free of charge about all personal data that we have stored about you at any time.

b) Correction, deletion, restriction of processing (blocking), complaint
Should you no longer agree with the storage of your personal data or should the data have become incorrect, we will arrange for the deletion or blocking of your data or make the necessary corrections on the basis of a corresponding instruction (insofar as this is possible under applicable law). The same applies if we are only to process data in a restrictive manner in future.

c) Data portability
Upon request, we will provide you with your data in a common, structured and machine-readable format, so that you can transfer the data to another responsible person on request.

d) Right of complaint
You also have the option of complaining to a supervisory authority about your rights as a data subject.

e) Right of revocation for consents with effect for the future
You may revoke your consents at any time with effect for the future. Your revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing until the time of revocation.

f) Restrictions
Data for which we are unable to identify the data subject, e.g. if anonymized for analysis purposes, are not covered by the above rights. Information, deletion, blocking, correction or transfer to another company may be possible with respect to this data if you provide us with additional information that allows us to identify you.

g) Exercise of your rights as a data subject

F. Data security

To ensure the security of the data transmitted to us, we use SSL 256 bit encryption. You can recognize such encrypted connections by the prefix "https://" in the page link in the address bar of your browser. Unencrypted page are marked by "http://". All data that you transmit to our website - for example, when making inquiries or logging in - cannot be read by third parties thanks to SSL encryption.

We do not engage in automated decision making or profiling.

G. Objection to the processing of your data

a) Right of objection based on the specific situation
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. e (public security) or f (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests) GDPR; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. We will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

b) Right to object to direct advertising
If we process personal data from you for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing; this also applies to profiling, insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, the personal data will no longer be processed for these purposes.

c) Exercise of the right to object

H. Updating this privacy notice

From time to time it is necessary to adjust the content of this privacy notice. We therefore reserve the right to change the privacy notice at any time. We will send the amended version of the privacy notice to registered users by e-mail before it takes effect and publish it in the same place as this privacy notice.
